ZHAWENJIGEWAG

JUSTICE PROGRAM

Zhawenjigewag Justice Program

The Program

The Zhawenjigewag program provides culture-based peacemaking services to Indigenous families to strengthen and heal their relationships. Zhawenjigewag Inawemaaganag, in the Ojibwe language, describes “A process of reaching peace with relatives.”

Our Services

Local Elders from Anishinabek, Haudenosaunee, and Lene-Lenape nations guide you through an alternative peacemaking process based in Indigenous restorative justice circles.

In addition to Indigenous-led peacemaking processes, we also offer legal support for criminal, family court, child welfare, police complaints, human rights tribunal, and landlord tenant board.

    Justice for All

The Zhawenjigewag program speaks for those who don’t have a voice. Your support will help provide access to justice services for those in need.
