Atlohsa Family Healing Services is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Director of Clinical Care and Intensive Services - Traditional Healing Initiatives. The Director of Clinical Care and Intensive Services will be supervising two programs, the Indigenous Healing Space and Biigajiiskaan, which provide land and culture-based programming and services for FNMI community members and address immediate mental health needs and intergenerational trauma and violence experienced by Indigenous people. Role and Responsibility
We are seeking a compassionate individual who can develop and direct the activities of the organization and programs, including establishing goals and objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the team; and can prepare and administer the budgets, including determining staffing needs; As a member of the leadership team the Director of Clinical Care and Intensive Services may participate in activities related to the operation of the organization including strategic planning, policy and procedure development, acquisition, utilization, and monitoring of both fiscal and personnel resources.
Suitability
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the history and cultures of the Indigenous population in the London region
- Sound knowledge of mental health needs and intergenerational trauma of Indigenous Peoples
- Current knowledge of Indigenous community services and resources
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Social Services and/or related experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training support, supervision and direction
- Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal relations, problem-solving, health intervention, group dynamics,community development and other innovative approaches
- Understanding of cultural safety and an awareness of its impact on practice
- Plan, supervise, implement and evaluate health centered programming
- Skills in conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation (to build trust and resolve disagreements)
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills and the ability to prioritize multiple competing workloaddemands in fast paced environment
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact withothers in a respectful manner as defined in the Atlohsa Code of Conduct

EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full-time permanent position
